Shutong Chen (陈疏桐)
I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Engineering at King’s College London (KCL), London, United Kingdom, under the supervision of Prof. Yansha Deng, and in collaboration with Toshiba Europe Ltd., where I am co-supervised by Dr. Adnan Aijaz and Dr. Yichao Jin.
Prior to this, I obtained my Master’s degree in Internet Engineering from the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at University College London in 2023 under the supervision of Prof. Miguel Rio, and my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Engineering from the School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering at Chongqing University in 2022 under the supervision of Prof. Zhengchuan Chen.

Goal-Oriented Multi-Agent Semantic Networking: Unifying Intents, Semantics, and Intelligence Shutong Chen, Qi Liao, Adnan Aijaz, Yansha Deng submitted to IEEE for potential publications 🤔 GoAgentNet: "From bit-centric networks to goal-driven agent intelligence." We introduce a new Goal-oriented and Agent-based networking architecture for 6G, which enables applications and the network to collaborate by abstracting their functions into multiple collaborative agents, and jointly orchestrates multi-agent sensing, networking, computation, and control through semantic computation and cross-layer semantic networking, allowing the entire architecture to pursue unified application goals. |

Goal-oriented Communication for Fast and Robust Robotic Fault Detection and Recovery Shutong Chen, Adnan Aijaz, Yansha Deng submitted to IEEE for potential publications 🤔 Goal-oriented Semantic Communication: "Tranmsit what you need." We propose a novel Goal-oriented Communication framework tailored for fast and robust robotic FDR, where we use 3D Scene Graphs and object edge points for fault detection, with our fine-tuned Small Language Model for fault recovery. |

We implements a feature selection algorithm to extract the semantic information from the reconstruction message, and a deep reinforcement learning-based temporal selection algorithm to selectively transmit the semantic information over time. |

We use age-upon-decisions (AuD) to characterize timeliness of updates at decision moments, and the missing probability to specify whether updates are useful for decision-making. |
